Letter from
friend to Kyndall towards the end of her stay at Greenway Halfway House
12-11-2002
Kyndall,
It’s almost 5 ½ months that I’ve known you and it feels both like forever and just a minute. I feel that I’ve done nothing but learn from you. You have the spirit and beauty of a warrior queen. A true survivor; never one to shy away from hard work or to back away from giving somebody a hand when you see they need it. I’ve seen you give to people in this house that you’ve barely even known. You have a kind and generous spirit, a loving soul and a gentle heart.
Yet, I’ve heard your story and even the time I’ve known you, I would never say that I ‘know’ you. You play your cards close to the chest, a quality I both admire and respect. A quality I long to emulate in myself. I find you to be one of the most fascinating people I have ever come across in my entire life.
You have an old soul and yet you carry yourself with no arrogance or conceit. For a girl with absolutely stunning looks, that is nothing short of shocking.
Kyndall, you are an enigma wrapped in a mystery. Still, there is also your spirituality, which is all about you and remains unspoken. I think the things about you that make you so genuine and lovely are that so many things about you are unspoken yet the people around you that you let into just a corner of your nexus of light know they just are.
I feel blessed to have met you and been a tiny part of your tremendous center of glow. You don’t realize how powerful I think you are yet. Kyndall, you magnetism and charisma just draw people to you.
Hey, if Friendlys Restaurant doesn’t work out, maybe you should try running your own cult. (haha) But, I’ll miss you more than anyone that’s come through here. I thank you for your passion, your calm, your laughter, your goodness.
I love you always. Be you. Never let the world change you.
Love,
* Peanut*
