Erin and Kyndall

You were a beautiful angelic child
Your mannerism ever so mild
With your big brown eyes and long dark hair
Way back then you had no care

Till age 14, when you accepted a taste
Of this thing called heroin, no clue what you were about to face
A life so full of hope and talent, devoured by this drug
I wish I would have reached out more often and gave you a hug

And now out of nowhere, you're gone without a trace
Your sister who loves you so, already misses your face
I miss your laughter, warmth, and fun loving attitude
I look back at being your big sister with much gratitude

I can’t even explain the pain I feel now that you are gone
Especially knowing the pain you experienced while being that drug's pawn
But, I know that we will be together again one day
And, until then, I see your face every night while I pray

Fly, my baby sister, fly away secure
Knowing there will be no more pain for you to endure
Grace Heaven now with your love and originality
Till we are together again for all eternity
